Ombre Rpgshow Yaki Glueless Wig Review

I've gotten so many compliments on my hair this week, it is unreal. I really like the way that it turned out, and if you are not averse to customizing your units (which if you aren't you really shouldn't be wearing lace wigs, real talk), then this is definitely a good one to try, particularly if you are African-American and want a realistic texture and density.

Video Review:

Initial Thoughts: I really liked this one straight out of the bag actually. For two days I wore it to work (with side bangs to hide the hairline) and liked the new length (I had been wearing one 10 inches longer prior) as well as the texture. This is the first time in 5 years I've worn yaki, and I found I kinda missed it. The hairline however, is really thick. Too thick to be believable. But that's no problem as long as you fix it. The texture is true yaki, exactly like relaxed African-American hair, and the cap construction is ON POINT! I've never had a unit (stock or otherwise) fit so well to my head, using glue would be pointless, it couldn't make the application look any better. My only qualm is that it seemed a little shorter than the 16 inches I ordered, just something to be aware of.

Customization: I faux bleached the knots, tweezed the hairline, layered the unit and bleached it. That's a lot. I understand that, but if you want your units to be as perfect as you are you need to put in the sweat, honey. I tried to go for ombre with this unit, and totally love how it turned out. After all, I am far from a master bleacher. The unit came pre-layered, but I added some bangs and face framing layers to, again, make it customized for me.

This is what the hairline looks like after I customized it with some tweezering. This picture is completely without editing at all, and for a glueless application I am more than pleased with the results. I used Sally Hansen's Airbrush Legs in Medium Glow on the cap and combined it with a light brown stocking cap (cut from pantyhose from CVS). I freaking love it.

Overall thoughts: If you are willing to put in the work, get this unit. Run, don't walk. *All customizing I did to this unit will be profiled on this blog and on my youtube channel (youtube.com/misspeachyadore)
